My name is Rita Woodward. I graduated from Webster University in St. Louis with a degree in art, and received my teacher training at the University of Memphis. I taught fourth grade, and then art, for almost thirty years before retiring in 2014.

The South is my home and influences much of my work. I most enjoy painting landscapes, old barnes, and country churches. I paint of wood and canvas, in many different sizes. My work is always original, and I love to explore new techniques and types of media. I sign my work as "Rahn"-- a nickname given to me by my dad.
